Child Care Information Services (CCIS) can reimburse child care programs/individuals who choose to sign a provider agreement and meet our participation standards. Child care providers are reimbursed by the CCIS on a monthly basis.
Programs. Centers, Group Child Care Homes (GCCH), Family Child Care Homes (FCCH) sign a provider agreement and submit the following:
- Closures—paid or unpaid holidays, vacations, etc.
- Rates—a copy of your published rates
Individuals. We refer to individuals who provide child care in their home as Relative/Neighbor (R/N) providers. R/N providers must meet the following participation standards in order to be an approved provider:
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must not be caring for more than 3 children
- Must provide care in his/her home and cannot live with the parent/caretaker
- Child Abuse and Criminal History—CCIS electronically submits a CareCheck application for all R/N providers (at no cost to the individual). The individual must pass the clearances.
- Identify themselves with photo or other identification
- Proof of address
- Social Security card or proof of Social Security number
- Proof of a working telephone with call out capability
- Maintain a healthy and safe environment
- provider and child must wash hands after toileting, diapering and prior to preparing/handling food
- working smoke detectors
- toxic materials will be kept in a locked cabinet or out of reach of children
- weapons or firearms will be kept in a locked cabinet with ammunition in a separate locked area.
- No physical punishment, including spanking.
